About carbon steel welded pipe, there is a kind poeple called MS pipe, which is means pipes made from mild steel/low carbon steel(carbon steel that carbon content lower than 0.25%). This kind pipe is most common, mostly be used in construction structure, scaffold and so on. This kind pipe is relatively soft, can't bear to much strength and pressure, so also can be used in low pressure liquid transport. Because this kind steel has a low mechanical property, won't be used in the usage scenario that has high requirement, so when people mention MS pipe, always means welded pipe.
