Holidays from April 4 to April 6, 2020 for a total of three days

The Tomb-Sweeping Day, which has both nature and humanities, is one of the “24 solar terms” and a traditional festival of ancestor worship. It is an ancient festival of the Chinese nation. It is not only a solemn festival to sacrifice tombs and ancestors, but also a joyous festival for people to get close to nature, go out and play, and enjoy the joy of spring. The Tomb-Sweeping Day and the Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival are also known as the four traditional Chinese festivals. In addition to China, there are also some countries and regions in the world who also celebrate Tomb-Sweeping Day, such as Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and so on.

This year, in order to express the deep condolences of the people of all ethnic groups in the country in their fight against the pneumonia epidemic, the State Council decided to hold a national mourning event on April 4, 2020. During this period, the national and foreign embassies and consulates were flagged at half-mast, and the country stopped public entertainment activities. From 10 o’clock on April 4th, the people of the country observed a three-minute silence in silence, cars, trains and ships whistle, and air defense alarms sounded.
