Oil screen is a material used to filter the sand and other impurity from crude oil, this is first process when extract crude oil, mostly made from J55, N80 casing pipe, high strength, not easy to deformation. In oil extract operations, screens are an important piece of equipment, mostly been used for oil well early completion or oil production and sand control when oil extraction. The most commonly used screen is a wire-wound screen. The manufacturing method of this kind of screen pipe is: winding a certain cross-section steel wire on a metal liner evenly distributed on the surrounding sieve rods or perforated casing pipe and welding the wire firmly, leaving a certain gap as the sieve hole. Although this manufacturing method has been used by many China domestic manufacturers, there are some problems with this kind of screen when it goes down the well, especially when the strong pressure passes through the bend of a horizontal well or a high-deviated well, and it is easy to appear the phenomenon of wire disorder that result from nevitable collision, extrusion and friction with the wellbore or casing, which can cause  a decrease or failure of the completion quality and sand control effect. In view of this drawback of wire wrapped screen, the slit screen with pipe and joint as one has appeared. Due to the superior performance and low price of slotted pipe, it has been highly valued and widely used by major oil fields as soon as it appeared. It can be seen that the appearance of slotted pipe provides material conditions for the development of horizontal well and lateral drilling and the exploitation of high sand oil field.
